Micky’s Haunted Apartment

November 9, 2013, 0 Comments

When I first moved into my small apartment, I had no idea what or who was there before me. I was very shocked by how low the price was and how nobody ever wanted that house. I moved into it alone after breaking up with my boyfriend. I had to leave his house with no money and was very happy when I found this one. I found a good job near my best friend’s house and worked during the daytime. I usually got home around 8 p.m.

The first time I came home from work, I knew that I turned the heat up before I left, so I wasn’t cold when I walked in from the falling snow. But I walked into my living room and felt a chill go straight by me. I walked back into the spot and felt cold again, then moved and I felt warmer. I decided that it was just that the heat didn’t move to that area. I sat on the couch, turned on the T.V., and passed out about 5 minutes later.

I woke up at about 3 a.m. and heard a stray cat howling. It sounded like it was coming from my bedroom. Between my tiredness and my curiosity, I also felt scared. I opened the door to my bedroom slowly and saw that my window was wide open, and the curtains were flying everywhere. I thought I also saw a glimpse of red cat eyes – like someone took a picture of it. I was so scared, I didn’t notice the time and ran over to my friend’s house in the same clothes I fell asleep in. I banged on the door so hard that my knuckles felt sore. Finally, after 10 minutes of rage and terror for me, she opened the door with her eyes wide open with horror. She quickly brought me in, so I wouldn’t wake the neighbors. She gave me a cup of coffee and asked me what was wrong. I told her everything that had happened, since I first moved into the house. I told her the number, because she didn’t know where I lived. She opened her mouth wide and told me the story of what happened in the house.

In 1978, there was a murder on Valentine’s Day. A woman in that house was killed by a man who hid in her shower with an ax. She went to sleep, and the man killed her. The people that discovered her were her boyfriend and his parents. The rest of the story was not to be told. I decided that I needed a companion. I had a friend that owned two dogs and could only keep one, so I took one and named it Bailey.

The first couple of days, the dog was great. Then, one evening, Bailey was barking like crazy. There was a black cat in the window with the same eyes that I had seen before. I ran over to it, hoping to scare it away, but it just disappeared! I decided to move out of that house for good.
