Tormented Screams Of The Dead

November 23, 2013, 0 Comments

On the night of June 10, 1912, Villisca, Iowa became home to one of the most brutal home invasions of all time. An axe wielding assailant, lurking in the shadows of the Moore residence, brutally stalked and killed the entire family of six, plus two more children staying in the home. Neighbors heard nothing, and the crime went undiscovered until the next morning when a neighbor walked in on the aftermath. To this day, the Villisca axe murder case remains unsolved, and the scene of the crime has become one of the most analyzed haunted places of all time.

One such team to document the haunted happenings of the modern day Moore house is APRA Paranormal of Southern California. On April 21, 2009, the team conducted an extensive audio analysis of the purportedly haunted home, and they were shocked by what they found. The audio recording revealed shrill, yet muffled screams of one or more young girls. Also captured in a separate recording are the horrifying screams of a man, believed to be that of the father of the house, J.B. Moore. The screams heard in these recordings are ones of terror, employing a tone typically reserved for life or death matters.

It’s widely speculated that the spirits of the murder victims still haunt the former Moore residence to this day. Will they remain trapped with their unnamed killer until justice is rightfully served? Here’s to hoping this cold case gets some much needed closure.
